Each student will receive a notebook of information sheets and will make and take a basic star wheel to identify constellations that will be visible on any date and time.

Outline, subject to shifts from week to week as we explore topics
  Session 1: Brightest stars and planets, wayfinding in the sky by referring to the horizon and compass directions
  Session 2: Changing seasons, changing constellations; how to use a star wheel
  Session 3: Review of stars, constellations and planets; preview of solar eclipses Aug. 21, 2017 and Apr. 8, 2024
