Born and raised in the greater Rochester area, she loves to cook, read, and enjoy the wonder that surrounds us daily.

Description
Stories have always been a part of human life. In fact, there's evidence that the Neanderthals even shared creation myths. Story is fundamental to the way we understand another person and a powerful way to digest our own experiences. Beyond fiction writing and storytelling for children, telling stories of our lives and those around us is a true heritage skill and will be the focus of the workshop.

Come join us for an afternoon of story building and sharing. Learn fundamentals of story construction and delivery. Pair up to create and share stories in a small team. We'll work on crafting a story in several rounds---each time inviting someone to share and getting opportunities for critique. At the end of the session, we'll all share our stories and select our favorites.

Bonus! The tellers with the favorite stories each session will be invited to share their stories at the 2017 Heritage Maker Food and Craft Fair on October 15.  This is your chance to tell a story to a larger audience with local storyteller judges!
