Curiosity Campout

Selected date

Friday June 25

Selected time

4:30 PM     6:30 PM

  • Availability limited due to space restrictions; registration required.

  • Drop in any time after 4:30 PM that works for you; we’ll be waiting with your kit! Complete as many of the activities as you’d like, then take home the rest. They’re accompanied by foolproof instructions, prompts, and questions for you and your camper!

  • Curiosity Campout will take place outdoors! Come pick up your kit at the Eisenhart Auditorium (on the RMSC campus at 657 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607)—we’ll be there to direct the way and get you set up with your kit and all the hands-on help you need. First time Curiosity Campers? This is the same place you’ll be dropping off your young scientist for camp this summer!

  • Again, this is an outdoor event! Be prepared to find your own space on the lawn outside the museum. This will serve as your homebase as you build, test, and experiment! We recommend bringing a blanket or two. Or hey—it’s a campout; bring a tent! We also recommend wearing clothes and closed-toed shoes that can get dirty and bringing a jacket and water bottle for each participant.

  • Kits include materials, written instructions, and hands-on facilitation from Curiosity Camps staff throughout the night.
  • Check out our Health & Well-Being Protocols for information on our COVID-19 procedures. All Curiosity Campout participants will need to participate in a temperature check, sign in upon check-in to verify the same three COVID-19 statements, wear a mask, and practice regular healthy hygiene practices.
